About LUGC

The Lincolnshire Union of Golf Clubs devotes its resources to the administration of amateur golf in Lincolnshire.

Its work covers the assessment of courses for Course Rating and Slope Rating, the World Handicapping System, County Championships, inter-club matchplay events, junior and senior golf and provides advice and guidance on a wide range of golf related subjects.

St Barnabas Cheque Presentation

Pictured at St Barnabas hospital in Lincoln are Lincolnshire County Golf President Steve Kellett and Secretary Jim Lammin presenting a cheque to nursing staff for £1,500 pounds. The money was raised throughout the year by raffling a PING golf bag that was kindly donated by PING Golf UK to recognise Lincolnshire's 125th anniversary in 2025.

It was decided to donate the money raised by this unique, one off, prize to charity and St Barnabas, Lincoln was the unanimous choice. The bag was presented to the lucky winner at the Lincolnshire Golf annual dinner in October.

St Barnabas supports over 12000 people across Lincolnshire with a life limiting illness or terminal illness, our aim is to enable people to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks, or months they have left.

The services and expertise we offer for people from the age of 18 yrs and upwards have been developed in a variety of care settings to support a wide range of needs from controlling pain and other distressing symptoms to accessing welfare benefits advice.

Some of the illnesses we support are cancer, dementia, Parkinson’s, heart failure, motor neurone disease and COPD
