44 patrons particpated in the last event of 2024 @ Lincoln GC, the course was in excellent condition and the welcome was spectacular, nothing was too much trouble. The catering staff provided some excellent food options and these were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The scores were as follows:

The end of season was very popular, with some Lincoln GC members adding nicely to the funds, £308 was raised by the raffle.

South Kyme May 2024

On a windy but thankfully dry day, 43 patrons took part in the stableford event. The food and hospitality offered by the golf club were excellent, thanks to all involved who made our day so enjoyable, even if some of our golf was a little mixed!

Nearest pin winner was Steve Kellett ( Bottle of Prosecco donated by Teresa Galjaard)

Market Rasen April 2024

52 players took part in the first event of 2024, the weather was mixed, a lot hail and rain fell on most during their rounds. The food and welcome were excellent and the following results were achieved on the day:

LINCOLNSHIRE  COUNTY  JUNIOR  GOLF  PATRONS

The Lincolnshire County Junior Patrons is a society based amongst both the lady and gentlemen members of the golf clubs of Lincolnshire. They make a significant contribution towards the organisation of the county boys and girls junior golf programme. By paying a small yearly subscription, £10:00, the Patrons are invited to play in four Patrons individual Stableford competitions each year at various courses across the county. The contributions made by the Patrons each year help a great deal towards paying for junior golf coaching, prizes, travel and other expenses. The Patrons must be members of a Lincolnshire golf club with a valid handicap index. Prizes are awarded at each event for both ladies and gents and at the end of the year the lady and gent with the best score of the year each receive a much sort after annual trophy – “The Secretary’s Cup”.

The Planned events for 2024 are:

Market Rasen Golf Club - Friday 26th April

South Kyme Golf Club - Friday 31st May 

Spalding Golf Club - 27th September

Lincoln Golf Club - 25th October


Membership of the Patrons is of limited numbers so that we minimise the disruption to the host clubs activities and also to give registered Patrons a fair opportunity in applying to play in these popular events. The registration form, which includes fixture dates, is available on the LUGC web site or available from the junior organiser. The forms for the Patrons’ events will be sent out  to all previously registered Patrons for renewal. The current entry to each competition, including meal , will be £25.00

If you are able to transfer any monies directly to the juniors account rather than sending cheques, this should reduce administration costs in the future, the details are as below, please quote name & competition details:

31 players took part in this event, I believe the Ryder Cup may have affected the numbers on the day!

Scoring proved difficult with a tricky wind and damp course.

50 players took part with most of them surprised by the speed of the greens and the challenge that the course presented. Despite the difficulty there were some great scores as below:

We received a warm welcome at Waltham Windmill, the course, despite the recent weather, the course was great, the greens fast and true.
44 players started their rounds with great expectations, some delivered as per the scores below, but everyone seemed to enjoy the day:

Friday 21st October - Louth Golf Club

46 golfers played at Louth GC, we all of us expecting torrential rain, thankfully it did not arraive until most golfers had finished (sorry to those who were caught out over the last couple of holes). The course was set up well and the hospitality offered by the team was outstanding. The food was good and nothing was too much trouble. The raffle raised £238 , thanks to Teresa and Kathryn Johnson's efforts and the support of the patrons. Thanks to Kathryn and Teresa for collecting monies due and dealing with cards before and Keith Moody and Teresa after the event.

Friday 30th April - Cleethorpes Golf Club

38 golfers played at Cleethorpes GC on a bright but windy day. The course was set up well and the hospitality offered by the team was outstanding. The food was tremendous and nothing was too much trouble. The raffle raised £160 , thanks to Kathryn Johnson's efforts and the support of the patrons. Thanks to Kathryn for collecting monies due and dealing with cards before and after the event.

32 golfers played at Kirton Holme on a bright but windy day. The course was set up well and the hospitality offered by Kellie and the team was outstanding. The food was tremendous and nothing was too much trouble. The raffle raised £147, thanks to Lynn Cook's efforts and the support of the patrons.

42 golfers attended Woodthorpe Hall GC and were presented with an excellent golf challenge followed by some great food. The hospitality offered was second to none, nothing was too much trouble! The president and captain along with all of the support team made the day special with their attention to detail. They provided everyone everything they needed to give them an excellent day.  They were some really challenging holes and some tricky pin positions. We hope we can return again in the near future.The results were:
