We had a mixed team with some playing their first under 18 match for the County, and they were up against a very strong Cambridgeshire side and an experienced L&R side. We lost the foursomes 4 - 0 in both matches and managed some points in the afternoon, with the scores not really reflecting how well our boys performed on the day. Speacial thanks to the Timby family who managed to get Alfie to the match following a last minute call, much appreciated.
Full results are on the Midland Golf Union - Junior results section.
Cambs 10 Lincs 2
L&R 9 1/2 Lincs 2 1/2
Our team was affected by other events across the country and with the easter holidays, but our team performed well and it gave oopportunities to other players, which they really enjoyed. We lost the match 6 1/2 to 5 1/2 but there were lots of close matches.
